Vegeta ( Japanese : ベジータ , Hepburn : Bejīta ? ) is a fictional character in the Dragon Ball manga series created by Akira Toriyama . Vegeta first appears in chapter #204 Sayonara, Son Goku ( さようなら孫悟空 , Sayōnara Son Gokū ? ) , published in Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine on December 19, 1988, [1] seeking the wish-granting Dragon Balls to gain immortality .

Future Vegeta is the alternate timeline counterpart of Vegeta who appeared in the alternate timeline in which Future Trunks and Future Gohan lived. This Vegeta appears in the brief opening scene of Dragon Ball Z: The History of Trunks and in a flashback during an episode of Dragon Ball Z . Future Vegeta was the lover of Future Bulma , and the father of Future Trunks.
